East Wake First Charter

Board Election Information:

The EWA Board of Directors will elect Directors by secret ballot for two (2) expiring seats (terms ending June 2018) at its regular meeting on June 5, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. in the Baker Center (inside the High School).  Any person interested in applying for a Board seat should submit a current resume or bio, along with a letter explaining their interest and vision for EWA.  Sealed submittals should include contact information and shall be delivered 1) by hand to the Board Secretary, John Broadfoot; 2) via USPS to EWA Board, PO Box 339, Zebulon, NC 27597; or 3) through electronic mail to jbroadfoot@eastwakeacademy.org.   The Board encourages all interested persons to gather at 6:00 pm on May 1, 2018 in the Baker Center, prior to the regularly scheduled board meeting, to meet the Board and share their interest in East Wake Academy.

Prior to elections, the Board Secretary will confirm with each applicant receipt of their submittal.  Submittals will be accepted up to May 29, 2018.  Applicants who are unable to attend the May 1st gathering are welcomed to appear at the June 5, 2018 board meeting to make a brief public presentation.  The EWA Board of Directors has adopted a Board Member Statement of Agreement and a Board Member Code of Ethics that must be executed by each seated Director.  For more information, contact Lynn Hooton, School Business Officer (919-404-0444 x1009 or lhooton@eastwakeacademy.org), or visit the Board of Directors page on the EWA website (http://www.eastwakeacademy.org/TakingCareofBusiness.htm).
