  • January 27 -Trivia Night for all EWA staff and students

NHS is hosting a free Trivia Night for all EWA staff and students on Monday, January 27th at 6pm in Eagle Hall. Show off your smarts in teams of up to 6 people where you can win prizes as a team and as an individual. See Mrs. Nettles or Ms. Haynes for more details.

EWA Senior Academy Student Services: Learn more about; Scholarship Opportunities , FAFSA, CommonApp, Forms, Community Service and careers.

The Knightdale-Wake Forest Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc is once again sponsoring scholarships for high school seniors.  The award amounts range from $3000 to $10,000. Here is the link for more information and for the application. All applications are due 2/17.

LOTTERY:

Lottery Application 2025/2026:

The lottery application is for SIBLINGS of current EWA students and prospective new students for the 2025/2026 school year. 

When:

The lottery application started on January 13, 2025 at 8 am and ends February 10, 2025 at noon. 

What you need:

The SCHOOLMINT link Schoolmint link (link will not be active until date and time above)

The link is also posted on our webpage at eastwakeacademy.org.

 Make an account:

If you re-enrolled your current  EWA student through Schoolmint, then login using your same username and password and begin the lottery application for siblings.

If you are NEW, please click the link and follow the prompts to make an account.

The lottery application will automatically close on February 10th at noon.  If you do not submit your lottery application for the 25/26 school year by the deadline of February 10th at noon, you will not be included in the lottery on March 5th.   If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact Mrs. Campbell at kcampbell@eastwakeacademy.org.

CLUBS:

UNITY CLUB will have its next meeting Thursday, January 16th at lunch in Mrs. Keene's Room.

FBLA will meet the following Fridays in January (10th(13th makeup), 17th, and 24th) to prepare for the 3rd quarter events. State objective tests will be in mid February on our campus.  We will also meet the following Fridays in February (7th and 21st). The contract for state competition is DUE BY MONDAY January 13, 2025!  The payment for the hotel in Greensboro is DUE BY THURSDAY Jan 16, 2025. See Mrs. Warren if you have any questions!

SPORTS:

Women's soccer preseason workouts will begin this week on 1/15.  Players should meet in the weightroom at 4 and workouts will end at 5:15. Players will need tennis shoes and athletic attire for workouts. If you are interested in trying out for women's soccer this spring, please try to attend. Each athlete needs an up to date tryout packet in order to participate in workouts.

Mens Varsity Golf will have an interest meeting in Mr. Raynor's room next Thursday, January 23rd at lunch. If you are interested or considering trying out please come to the meeting to learn more. Email Mr. Raynor with any questions.
