"Dancers, it's time to audition for the EWA Company and Ensemble Dance team for next year. Please stop by Miss.Harveys room to pick up your packet information. Auditions will be held Wednesday February 19th from 3:15-5pm. Audition packets are due on Tuesday February 18th. You will not be able to audition if your packets are not returned to Miss.Harvey on the 18th. We can't wait to see you there!" Reminder: Teacher recommendation letters are due to Ms.Harvey by Tuesday February 18th as well.

The Art, Language, and Elective Departments are hosting our annual Inspire event March 6th! T-shirt and crewneck sales have started and will close on February 12th, next Friday so buy your shirt now! Qr codes are around the building and a link will be included in the morning announcements.

Career and College Promise at Nash Community College is hosting information sessions in February for interested students and families.

SENIORS: If you have received a College/University/Military acceptance letter and/or scholarship(s) email Mrs. Ray at dray@eastwakeacademy.org. If you want your accomplishments noted in the HS announcements specify that you would like it added. If not, the information will stay only with the Senior Class Records.

This is a friendly reminder that if you are interested in purchasing a yearbook ad to celebrate your senior, please go to www.jostens.com/yearbookads to submit your design. Make sure you proofread and edit your design prior to uploading as the yearbook staff is unable to edit those for you. All ads are due NO LATER than Tuesday, February 25. If you have any questions, please email dcoward@eastwakeacademy.org.

LOTTERY:

Lottery Application 2025/2026:

The lottery application is for SIBLINGS of current EWA students and prospective new students for the 2025/2026 school year.

When: The lottery application started on January 13, 2025 at 8 am and ends February 10, 2025 at noon.

What you need: The SCHOOLMINT link Schoolmint link (link will not be active until date and time above)

The link is also posted on our webpage at eastwakeacademy.org.

Make an account:

If you re-enrolled your current EWA student through Schoolmint, then login using your same username and password and begin the lottery application for siblings.

If you are NEW, please click the link and follow the prompts to make an account.

The lottery application will automatically close on February 10th at noon. If you do not submit your lottery application for the 25/26 school year by the deadline of February 10th at noon, you will not be included in the lottery on March 5th. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact Mrs. Campbell at kcampbell@eastwakeacademy.org.

CLUBS:

Community Service Club is holding a Homeless Supply Drive for the homeless in our community? We are collecting donations this week in the Elementary, Middle, and High School.

First priority meets every Thursday. Hope to see you there:)

Unity Club meets the first and third Thursday of each month, and we would love to see more of you there! We hope you’ll come check it out and get involved.

FBLA will meet the following Fridays in February (7th and 21st). See Mrs. Warren if you have any questions!

SPORTS:

Come out to support EWA Basketball this week!

TONIGHT- PINK OUT against Falls Lake. Proceeds from tonight's games will go to EWA's 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Murray! Come out and support the EAGLES and Ms. Murray!!

Tomorrow- SENIOR NIGHT! Join us at 6:00 and 7:30 as we host Research Triangle in our final regular season games of the season! Senior recognition will be at the conclusion of the girl's game.
