Good Morning Senior Academy.


SENIORS: If you have received a College/University/Military acceptance letter and/or scholarship(s) email Mrs. Ray at dray@eastwakeacademy.org. If you want your accomplishments noted in the HS announcements specify that you would like it added. If not, the information will stay only with the Senior Class Records.

  • March 6 - HS Inspire Event - 6-8:30

  • March 7th - ERD and NHS Red Cross Blood Drive

  • March 10-21 - Track Out

  • March 24 - Teachers workday

  • March 25 - ACT Testing March 25th (Asynchronous for grades 9, 10, and 12)

  • March 28 - Spring Dress Down Pictures reschedule

  • March 31-April 4 - HS Spirit Week

Driver Eligibility Forms will not be given out over Spring Track-out.  Please let Mrs. Campbell know if you need the Permit form. A parent has to sign and pick-up the form.  Last day to pick up the form is Thursday, March 6th at noon.  This is by appointment only.  The requirements to receive this form are as follows  -  you have taken the class and completed your driving portion.  Please contact Mrs. Campbell at kcampbell@eastwakeacademy.org.

Lost and Found: High school lost items can be found in the plastic tote right outside the HS office.  Students can come down BEFORE and AFTER SCHOOL or DURING LUNCH. All unclaimed items in the High School will be donated after March 6th. Gym lost and found will be in a container in the dining hall. Building 5/WINGS lost items will be in a container at the desk by the front entrance.  Items lost in the main building will be located right outside the office. 

- Come one, Come all to our INSPIRE Student expo event TONIGHT Thursday from 6-8:30. Come vote for your favorite works of art, support small local businesses, experience language and dance demonstrations, and take part in the joy that our electives bring our students. There will be food and vendors so bring your wallet. There will be a suggested $3 entry fee.

Spirit Week is coming!! Your Spring Spirit Week will be March 31st until April 4th with a Pep Rally on Friday, April 4th during 4th period. The days are as follows:

  • Monday: PJ vs. Adam Sandler Day

  • Tuesday: Pop culture/ meme/ Vine Day

  • Wednesday: Camo Day

  • Thursday: Pirates vs. Princesses

  • Friday: Color Wars- Seniors will wear black, Juniors will wear purple, Sophomores will wear pink, and Freshman will wear blue

If you are interested in participating in any of the Pep Rally games, please reach out to your grade level representatives and class presidents! See Mr. Raynor or Mrs. Jones with any concerns and questions regarding Spirit Week and Pep Rally.

  • Wake Electric Scholarship: $2,000 & $1,250 College Scholarships Available: High School seniors, if your parents or guardian(s) are members of Wake Electric, be sure to apply for the Fred M. Alford Scholarship ($2,000) and 16 Touchstone Energy Scholarships ($1,250 each). The deadline to apply is March 14, at 5 pm.   • NCSU VetCAMP is a 5-day summer camp hosted by the Veterinary Professions Advising Center (VetPAC). It provides high school students with hands-on animal and veterinary experience through a summer camp! We offer two in-person programs lasting one week each and a week-long virtual camp. The dates are as follows:

    • In-Person Week 1: June 16th - 20th

    • In-Person Week 2: June 23rd - 27th

    • Virtual Week: July 7th - 11th 

    • Applications for VetCAMP 2025 are now open and will close on March 31st at 5:00pm EST.  Please see the attachment for more information. VetCAMP Flier

  • Seniors- If you are interested in becoming a State Trooper, please see Mrs. Ray for details about Student Trooper Program sponsored by the American Legion.

  • Couch Oil Cares Scholarship: $2,000 scholarship to first year students who have been accepted into a 2-year or 4-year accredited college and reside in a 16-county area surrounding the Triangle.

It's time to sign up for the 2nd Annual Volley-Bros tournament. The event will be on Wednesday, April 2nd at 6pm in the EWA gym. However, all participants need to sign up and pay before trackout. $20 per participant, which includes your t-shirt. Scan the QR codes posted on flyers around the building and then pay Mrs. Lane before this Friday. 

Attention Book Club: please stop by room 211 as soon as possible to pick up your copy of this month's book, The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein. We will meet on March 28 at lunch to chat!
