EWA Families!
We are excited to launch our Community Business Partners program! Through this program, we will be able to provide a spirited custom shirt to EVERY student in our school, while also raising needed funds.
The primary component of our shirt partnership program is our Event Shirt for our Boosterthon fundraiser. We are hoping to partner with local businesses to help sponsor these shirts. Their logo or name will be displayed on the back of the shirt, and worn by over 800 Kindergarten - 8th grade students in our school.
If you know of, or are part of, a business that would be interested in becoming an EWA Community Business Partner, please send them the linked Business Sponsorship Form for more information.
We need a commitment from all Community Business Partners by Wednesday, September 20th in order to supply all our students with a shirt.

Students in Mrs. Pace’s Class are bridging together science and literacy with an independent book study on the moon, thanks to a Mary Pope Osborne’s Gift of Reading Grant.

The mobile dentist is coming to school! On September 5th your child can be seen at our school by the Smile Program Mobile Dentist. A state licensed dentist will check your child's mouth and teeth, as well as providing cleaning and x-rays as necessary, and fluoride treatments as needed. Additional care such as fillings may also be provided. A dental report card will be sent home with your child.
Your child must be signed up to be seen. See the link below. If you need a hard copy you can request it from the school. Please sign up ASAP if interested. Deadline to sign up is Tuesday 8/29/23

Fourth grade students in Ms.Michel and Mrs.Pearce’s homeroom built koozies to show what they learned from their thermal energy unit in Science!
Each Quarter in K4 Physical Education, your students complete the school-wide fastest class challenge to push each homeroom's perseverance and teamwork skills.
For Quarter 1 the overall winner was: Ms. T. Heuts' class with a 15.00 average laps ran!
1st Grade highest: Mrs. Miller- 12.9 average
2nd Grade highest: Mrs. Boone- 12.5 average
4th Grade Highest: Mrs. Pearce - 14.82 average
Due to lightening we will be able to start carpool at 3:30.

EWA Families - we are monitoring the weather - just a reminder that if there is lightning, we STOP carpool until it's safe to resume.
Snakes Alive!!!! Students in Mrs. Pace’s Class are reading and learning about snakes during small group reading time.
My School Bucks Update:
EWA did a student upload in mid July. If your child was in PowerSchool at that time, they will show in MSB. If they were accepted after that time, then they will be added to MSB in a second upload by the end of August. In the meantime you can make payments to the school by cash or check. Sorry for the inconvenience.
EWA is open and operating on a normal schedule. Our facility was not impacted by the storm.
