Dear EWA families.
By now we have all seen the damage to Cemetery Road from Wednesday’s storm. Unfortunately, there was also damage in two of our buildings – including our school gym and Eagle Hall. Early this morning we received the assessment for each area, and both will be closed for the foreseeable future.
Today our Principals, Athletic Director and administration have been working to determine what events can be accommodated at the school, what we can do outside of the school grounds and what must be cancelled. Please know, any event must be scheduled around the state mandated testing schedule. The Department of Public Instruction mandates all public school testing dates and EWA is required to follow their schedule.
Please be on the look out for messages coming from your building principals. They will release the updated schedules starting Monday.
We appreciate all the support we have received as we have had to make adjustments to our schedule and carpool. Your positive comments keep us going!!
Have a great evening.
Anthony Pirrello
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Thank you for your continued patience and flexibility as we adjust our carpool procedures due to the recent road closure. We understand that these changes may have caused some inconvenience, and we truly appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work through this temporary situation.
Our top priority remains the safety of our students and staff, and we are doing our best to keep things moving as efficiently as possible. Your support during arrival and dismissal helps us maintain a smooth process even with the unexpected detour.
We will continue to monitor and adjust as needed, and we’ll keep you informed of any updates. Thank you again for your patience and for being such a supportive part of our school community.

We appreciate everyone's patience and flexibility today at afternoon carpool. As always the safety of our students and staff is our utmost priority.
Due to damage from today’s storm, DOT has closed Whitley Road/Cemetery Road. Therefore, traffic patterns and morning and afternoon carpool times will need to be modified. All parents will need to enter campus on Industrial Drive until further notice.
For morning and afternoon carpool, enter on Industrial Drive, then proceed to the stop sign where you will be directed by our staff. It is extremely important that you follow the directions of staff to ensure the safety of all.
Morning Carpool will begin at 7:30.
Afternoon carpool dismissal times are as follows. It is imperative that parents arrive at the correct time for your color carpool tag in order to accommodate all students using one carpool line.
2:00 High School Drivers will be dismissed (Burgundy Tags)
2:15 High School (Yellow Tags)
2:45 Elementary (Blue Tags)
3:15 Elementary/Middle School (Orange Tags)
3:30 Middle School (Green Tags)
1:30 is the latest time any student can be checked out.
If your student attends Wings, you will also enter on Industrial Drive. Enter campus by turning left at the stop sign where high school carpool usually exits. Continue straight and turn right onto the drive that goes back to the Wings building.
We will continue to delay carpool until lightning is no longer a threat. We are also monitoring the rising creek water on both sides. Thanks for your patience and cooperation!

Students got to try chips and salsa and then completed a writing response about their thoughts on the new food! They finished up their lesson by learning the La Bomba song and dance. 💃

All week we'll be celebrating our teachers and staff for all the work they do to help our students. Whether they are teaching in the classroom, providing behind-the-scenes support, or giving a "hello" to a student in the hallway, they are a big part of what makes EWA the excellent school it is.
